We are aiming to hold our Fighting Fit Christmas Fancy Dress Party on Friday 2nd December at Tollgate Primary School in Bury St Edmunds.

Open to all students, their friends and families!  Brilliant fun with a disco, Wii, karaoke and raffle!

There is a possibility that this date may change to Friday 9th December.  We will confirm the dates as soon as they are definite.

The Hardwick Primary After-School Club Grading is to be held on Monday 7th November.

Invitations to grade will be handed out during the previous week's lessons to all those who have attended enough lessons to grade.

Our Annual Junior Black Belt Grading took place in October 2011 and saw ELISE STOCKDALE and SHANNON WADE achieve their 1st Dan Black Belts in Little White Tiger (Tae-Kwon-Do), whilst BUSTER WAPPETT achieved his 2nd Dan Black Belt in Little White Tiger (Tae-Kwon-Do) and Black Tiger Martial Arts (Kickboxing). Well done to all three for their constant hard work and determination over the years. All three endured an exceptionally hard six hour grading on the day which included exercises, running, patterns, mini-patterns, nunchuk, sword and shield and sparring.

A big congratulations to all our junior and adults students who attended our Tae-Kwon-Do gradings this week!  Everyone worked exceptionally hard towards gaining their next grade.

 

Certificates, belts and tabs will be handed our during our presentation week, beginning 19^th September.

 

Well done!  And remember to keep working hard towards your next grading which will take place shortly before Christmas!

Congratulations to Simon Reed who gained his 3rd Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing.  Simon endured four hours of exercises, running, techniques, nunchuks, sparring and wrestling.  Due to the high level of grade, Simon was asked to prepare the day himself and teach each aspect of it.  This he did to a fantastic standard and the Grading Panel had no hesitation in awarding him his 3rd Dan Black Belt.

Other senior grades were assessed towards their next Dan grades.

This year's Annual Fun Run & Black Belt Run Day took place at Tollgate Primary School in Bury St Edmunds on Sunday 20th March.

Adults began their 20 laps of the field at 10.00am and the children's Fun Run started at 11.00am with the children running as many laps as they could.  Some even ran 20 laps, the same as the adults!

Everyone had the chance to enjoy the bouncy castle, music, bar-b-q, hot and cold drinks and pop corn.  The weather was good and the day was another success for our club.

Well done and thank you to everyone who came along and took part in the run and to those who helped on the day.

Our Spring Gradings will take place on :-

Monday 7th March

Wednesday 9th March, and

Thursday 10th March.

All students who have attended enough lessons to grade will be given their Grading Invitation during the week before.  These gradings are for all adult and junior Tae-Kwon-Do and Kickboxing students.

Our Tollgate Primary School After-School Club in Bury St Edmunds held the first of it's bi-annual gradings on Wednesday 26th January.

Eleven students were tested over an hour's session on balance, co-ordination, stamina, fitness, kicks, punches, blocks and self-defence.  For many of the students this was their first grading whilst some were attempting their second and third grades.  Everybody did extremely well and Billy Wappett will present them with their certificates, coloured tabs and belts one week after the grading.

Well done to everyone who took part and thank you for your continued support.
